OK, so I've decided that the PotY v0.3 will be the final version, and that no more work shall be done to the PotY.

Piano Simulator project

Well, I'm currently working on a new interactive Flash project, Piano Simulator.

It can be used to play basic tunes and such, but I wouldnt include ALL the keys on a real piano (maybe 5 or 7 of them).

But too bad I'll take a longer time on this since my Flash sifu is currently addicted to the new game Spore (google it)

TheFreaks PotY 2008 v0.1 is now OUT

After hours and hours of trying to make a working loading screen, it's FINALLY OUT!

TheFreaks PotY version 0.1!

Note, this isnt the full version, as there are room for more improvements. I'm working on a play/pause button, and I'm improving on the loading screen too.

Tell me what you think, and where can I improve on, and I'll see if it's appropriate (or even possible).

I've begun compiling works on the PotY video (see post below), but it seems that I'm lack of over a hundred pictures (given that each picture is shown for 2 seconds, yeah).

So, please, help us to help you! Let us put a smile on your face!

If your name isnt up there but you've sent me the picture, resend it but confirm the email address.

Change the [at] and [dot], and remove the obviously fake bit.

TheFreaks Pictures of the Year 2008 video compilation

We're planning on making a Pictures of the Year 2008 video compilation, featuring pictures that are funny, whacky, zany, engrossing (to a limit, of course) or plain hilarious.

If you have a picture or two, and would like them to be featured, please send them to redevil1995[at]REMOVETHISOBVIOUSLYFAKEBITgmail[dot]com with the following details:

-Full name (a pseudonym may be included if you want)
-Location (preferably your country). This will be displayed with your picture, instead of your name, to protect your privacy.
-Camera used when taking picture (e.g. Sony a350, Canon D450, Canon IXUS 65, Sony Ericsson K800i, Nokia 6681, etc)

It is preferred if you first upload the images to ImageShack and then email me the URL of the picture (available at the bottom of the page upon successful upload; scroll down to obtain picture URL).

Please be wary of advertisements on ImageShack (some of the ads appear to be a part of the website itself). I will not claim responsibility for any malware attack arising from your visit to ImageShack.

Pictures should not be larger than 1024x768 (ImageShack can resize your picture. tick the checkbox and select the size, 800x600 recommended) and must not contain:

-Gore (blood, extreme violence)
-Nudity
-Ideologically sensitive pictures (examples: race/politics/swearing - e.g. middle-finger, gestures resembling/replicating sexual acts, violence, etc)

Pictures will be judged and selected ones will be featured.

Image quality is top priority, and when I say that I do not mean taking 5-megapix pictures. I mean clear, decently steady shots (where the subject can be seen and identified easily and clearly).

Terms and conditions:

By submitting pictures to me, you agree to:

-Grant me all rights to publish the pictures online or on any other forms of media,
-Be bound by the above mentioned guidelines, and
-Consent for the use of your submitted pictures for my commercial or personal purposes.

This is to ensure that I don't get into any copyright issues, which, I had brushes with in the past. It's a horrible thing you don't want to mess with, the great o' copyright.

The Pictures of the Year 2008 video compilation will be published to YouTube and deviantART (and other websites which I deem appropriate).

Yauhui will create the DeviantART version (Flash-based) and Mikhail will create the YouTube version (iMovie-based).

Okay, now prepare your cameras and get flashing!
